Roundtable on CO₂ injection at the Nasiriyah oil field

Held with the Reservoirs Directorate at the Ministry of Oil to discuss the preliminary study's findings and the expected cost of the pilot project.

The Iraq Energy Academy, with the Reservoirs Directorate at the Ministry of Oil, held a roundtable to discuss the findings of the preliminary study on carbon dioxide injection at the Nasiriyah oil field and the expected cost of the pilot project.

The session also reviewed a study by the Petroleum Engineering Department at the University of Baghdad on flue-gas injection at the same field, while representatives of the Carbon Economics company addressed the project's economic and environmental significance.

Attendees included the Deputy Minister of Oil for Distribution Affairs and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, alongside directors general, experts and academics specialising in energy and the environment, together with members of the academy's Board of Trustees.
